The weather sucks!!!!!!!

I fished yesterday morning in the river because the east wind was just howling on the lake. Ive been on this lake since I was about 3 yrs old with my grandfather and one thing that was beat into my head was “wind from the east, fish bite the least.” Thanks gramp, now the days that I do fish an east wind my mental game is already struggling.. Lets stop though for a minute and think, all the years that I was a charter captain on Lake Ontario I didnt cancel my charters if the wind was wrong and now a days im here at the shop 6 days a week so the one day that I do have off the first thing on my to do list is go fishing, no matter what the weather. This weekend is the opener for Bass and sunday is fathers day. To all you fellow dads do yourself a favor and take a moment this weekend to stop and take it all in and I wish you all the best.

Walleye opener

Good morning all,

Its finally here, Walleye season that is. The very early reviews have been mixed but the walleyes that were caught this morning were in 15 feet of water chasing jigs tipped with crawlers and leeches. We will have the real fishing reports available on the web site in the next couple of days.
